Brittan Proposal

Suggested by Sir Leon Brittan, it was a comprehensive free trade agreement that would have eliminated EU-US trade tariffs by the year 2010. Agricultural and audio-visual trade were not included in the proposal but France still rejected it, believing that the US would insist upon their inclusion.
