A case decided by the EU Court in 2002. A Finnish-German citizen had a pension in Germany. When he moved to Finland, he continued to pay into his German pension. Finland would not allow him the tax reduction given for Finnish pensions. The Court stated that this was not compatible with the principles of non-discrimination and free movement of services and capital.

This important case opens up a common pensions market. C-136/00.
