Export control on Weapons

The Wassenaar arrangement of 1996 between 33 states controls the sale of weapons and advanced equipment. The administrative headquarters (secretariat) of the permanent Export control on Weapons are in Vienna.

The Future

The EU Constitution proposes common EU rules for the production and sale of weapons and a European Armaments, Research and Military Agency.
