Milk Quota

A milk quota is the amount of milk a country or a specific farmer is allowed to produce.
Under the Common Agricultural Policy every nation has its milk quota decided by a qualified majority.

The future

In total, the applicant countries will have milk quotas for 19 billion kg in 2006. The EU15 quota is now 118.9 billion kilos. In total, the applicant countries will have 13.5% of EU25 milk quota.
