In the 1999 French elections to the EU Parliament EU hunting rules became a major issue. Because of this the leader of the French party CPNT, Jean Saint-Josse, and five of his colleagues were elected to the EU Parliament. EDD.

Notes

He was also a candidate in the French Presidential election in 2002 and obtained 4.23% of the votes.
