The founding six Member States of the European Economic Community: Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg.
The term used for EFTA when it had seven Member States was “the seven”.
Now, the seven EFTA members are four, and the founding Six EEC Members will become 25, with the enlargement of the EU.
